Erin Cauble

   Erin Cauble
As a tea visionary and entrepreneur, Erin Pelicano Cauble has positioned herself as a media publisher to the tea industry.  Graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelors of Science degree in 1999, Erin worked in her degree field for several years.  With a love for fine tea and her Culinary Educated husband, the couple opened a teashop in historic downtown Frederick, Maryland.  The shop brought 50 fine loose teas, a beautiful selection of accessories and delightful scones to the downtown-shopping district.  After several years the successful teashop was sold and continues to offer a retreat for tea enthusiasts.  As a new stay at home mom of two small children, Erin created and launched the only publication dedicated to the specialty tea business, the Tea Room News (www.thetearoomnews.com).  Combining her love of tea and magazines, Erin knew the industry needed a valuable source of information. Armed with a life long obsession with magazines, trusted graphic designer and a publishing dream the magazine was launched in 2007.

The Tea Room News continues to grow in size, distribution, and advertising partnerships.  The magazine is the one source of small business, tea industry, legal, new product and marketing information. Erin's dream helps other small businesses succeed.  Thousands of US and Canadian tea businesses subscribe, including tearooms, teashops, bed & breakfasts, inns, spas and gourmet shops.  Specialty tea as an industry is booming and the Tea Room News inspires the shopkeepers that cater to the specialty tea consumer. Especially in difficult economic times, the small business owners need fresh and inspiring information to keep their business thriving. With the motto "Tea is Your Business. Tea is Our Business." Erin continues to work towards the collective success of a traditionally small shop industry.
