Born of an Australian mother that brought her English traditions into the home, Nan was literally raised with "tea as a second language." Since the early 90's, she has been involved in presenting, consulting, and teaching many types of tea events.

Nan has written the curriculum for tea classes, Let's Have Tea, that she teaches at three Southern California Colleges. Also a quarterly newsletter called Tea Graces, and various seminar topics. She is a contributing writer for Santa Clarita Magazine "03, and currently for Teacups & Friends. Tea Graces has been featured in a bi-monthly publication, The Tea House Times as well as several magazines; Elite of Santa Clarita,Tea Time, Tea in Texas, and the most recent, Victorian Homes, August 2008.

In Emilile Barnes book, The Twelve Teas of Inspiration,The Graceful Art of Tea is recommended as a delightful read. A Marmalade Tart recipe was submitted by Nan, and published in Celtic Teas with Friends by Elizabeth Knight.

Nan has been involved in Women's Ministries at her local church in mentoring, teaching practical arts, and a Bible study leader for over 20 years. She is a speaker for churches, tea rooms, community organizations, women's events, mini seminars and a graduate of Proverbs 31 She Speaks conference. Nan is also the founder of Tea Graces and a member of the Royal Ladies Tea Society.

In spring of 2005 her book The Graceful Art of Tea was published. Because of its popularity, it has been revised and is now in its third printing. At this time, Nan is working on completing a children's early reader book, Dress Up and Tea Cups for Alli.

In fall of 2006 Nan felt the need for an instructional DVD for tea lovers. A Tea Time Tutorial is now available for your viewing pleasure.
